Firefox hot on the trail

According to The Register the rebel browser, Firefox, now holds 11.51% of the browser market share with its arch-nemesis Internet Explorer dropping 1.18% since April 2005.

Tabbed-browsing is a key enhancement in alternative browsers like Firefox. It was invented in 1997 and included in Mozilla/Firefox in 2001/2002. Microsoft has recently announced that it would be added to Internet Explorer 7 which will be packaged with the increasingly late follow-up to Windows XP, Windows Vista, to be released next year (maybe).
