I've finally got around to tracking down the blog that made blogging famous. A guy in Baghdad blogged the whole invasion of Iraq and the aftermath... apparently there is now an Arabic Big Brother, let us revel in the liberation!

From the blog:

"The plot to make the whole world eat and watch the same things is going pretty well, don't you think?"

And I like the way this sort of thing gets casually tossed in:

" salam i was trying to call your phones all the day long, i hope u didnt die in the karbala explosions"

The blog became incredibly popular during the invasion and inspired a tense few weeks when it became too dangerous to write. It has since sparked a movie and even got him interviewed on Enough Rope, no doubt among a host of other shows and publications.
