PostSecret: art gets real

Eternal gratitude goes to my cousin David for sending me a link to PostSecret. It's a standard Blogger formula blog, just like mine, but the idea is that readers post the blogger a postcard, preferably a creatively presented handmade one, and he posts them. The postcards contain a secret the sender wants to share but is too scared to tell anyone they know. Be warned, some of them are quite intense.

The idea seems to have taken off. It's been in the media a bit and has a lot of comments and contributors. It also seems to me to be a forum (or 'space' in high-culture nomenclature) for the kind of art I respect - post-pomo "I have something to say and instead of hiding behind abstraction and self-analysing self-deprecation I'm just going to say it" art. Is good. Here's to the philistines with their smiley-faces, there text and a complete lack of justifying theses.
