Now admittedly the research was done by an anti-virus software company, but if it scares you into dropping that old 90's browser built into your operating system in favour of, oh I don't know, say Firefox, then maybe it's a good thing.

Yet another of the funky add-ons I've found for Firefox is BugMeNot, a neat little addition that allows people to share accounts for websites that require compulsory free membership including who knows how much personal information. All you do is right click in the login/password box and click BugMeNot and it searches an online database for an account and logs you in. Very hndy for things like SMH and other newspapers, especially ones you don't plan to come back to like those linked from news.google.com.au.
